I am obsessed with skincare and frequently purchase products that claim miracles. Most of them turn out to be disappointing, but over the years, I have discovered some real gems that deliver on their promise. Today, I am bringing to you some of my favorite skincare purchases.
Skinceuticals AOX Eye Serum
To reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eye area, try the Skinceuticals AOX Eye Gel. This gel is full of antioxidants, vitamin C, caffeine and herbal extracts. It is non-sticky and quickly absorbs into the skin. Immediately after application, you will notice a reduction in puffiness and redness. Overtime I have seen a reduction in puffiness, lines and wrinkles. I use the gel in the morning, and will add eye cream to add moisture to the delicate under eye area. The eye serum can be purchased at the Dermstore.
Retrouve Revitalizing Eye Concentrate
This silky Retrouve eye gel will glide across the skin without pulling and tugging the delicate under eye skin. I apply a tiny, tiny amount of the Product in the morning, it is very concentrated and highly moisturizing. If the skin feels dry, I use it at night as an overnight treatment. I noticed a big difference after a couple of uses. The eye gel can be purchased at Neiman Marcus or Net-A-Porter.
Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum
I mentioned the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic serum before, but it makes the list once again as a must have in your anti-aging arsenal. The serum has ferulic acid and pure vitamin C and E to protect the skin against environmental damage and free radicals. Use after cleansing and toning skin, apply in the morning all over the face, neck and chest.
Shiseido Benefiance Pure Retinol Eye Mask
These concentrated Shiseido treatment sheets immediately reduce the appearance of wrinkles and puffiness with just one use. Skin looks hydrated and plump, with improved texture and silky smooth. The active ingredient is pure retinol. The masks can be purchased at Ulta, Saks or Sephora.
Skinceuticals Retinol 0.5 Refining Night Cream
This powerful retinol night cream delivers on its promise. It reduces wrinkles and discoloration; exfoliates the skin, which helps to decongest and heal any blemishes. Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A, which promotes cell turnover, reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores.
I have sensitive skin and debated if I should use products with retinol. However, I kept reading about the magic of retinol and purchased the 0.5 strength night cream. There are different strength levels available, start out with the lowest dosage and work up.
To cleanse the dry skin off I used the Tata Harper oil cleanser, followed by the Tata Harper scrub to gently wash away any dry skin. After the second week, I noticed that my skin looks plump, hydrated, with shrunken pores and radiant. It is critical to use a sunscreen as retinol products increase our sensitivity to the sun. The retinol night cream can be purchased at the Dermstore.
Biologique Recherche Lotion P50
I wrote a post about the wonders of this toner, if you missed the previous post, you can read the detailed post under the beauty category. The Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 is one of my favorite skincare purchases because it works as promised.
Sunday Riley Good Genes
I have used this lactic acid for years; it is non-irritating and leaves my skin brighter with smaller pores. Lactic acid helps to heal blemishes and helps uneven skin tone. This product has loads of anti-aging ingredients. You can purchase Good Genes at Sephora or Nordstroms.
This Glycolic night serum continues to be one of my favorite products from the Drunk Elephant line. It leaves my skin feeling soft, clear and hydrated. I highly recommend this product!
